Minimally invasive dentistry includes a wide range of treatment options for replacing lost tooth substance or constructing new tooth shapes. An additive restoration concept in combination with composite or ceramic restorations ensures that the tooth substance is protected. The dentist’s preferences deter mine the choice of the restoration material. In this case, a direct composite restoration was selected to close a diastema between tooth 11 and 21.
